He joined Hitachi in 1997 and has been working on development of Hitachi Gigabit Router GR2000, especially on IPv6 routing protocols, such as BGP4+, IPv6 PIM, and DHCPv6 etc. He also works as an IPv6 network operator in various networking-events, like Networld+Interop, IPv6-Showcase and NetLiferium.

He is also a WIDE project member and works as a KAME Project core member since 2000.
