Philippe COUSIN has 20 years of experience in IT&Telecommunications. Many years at various positions (operational fields, R&D, Standardisation (ETSI, ITU), testing methodologies,..) within a large telecom operator (i.e. France Telecom). Seconded to the European Commission DGXIII (now DG Infosoc) and DG III(1992-1995, now DG Entreprise) as Project officer in the CTS (Conformance Testing Programme) giving support to the establishment of European testing laboratories in all telecom fields (GSM, ISDN, DECT, ..). Developed and launched an EU programme (INTOOL: Infrastructural Tool) supporting horizontal testing methodologies. Project manager (1995-1997) at EOTC (European Organisation for Testing and Certification). European Commission expert in testing and certifications policies for EU and with third countries (e.g. CEEC, China, …) Technical Director and Managing Director (1997-2001) of a test house, CETECOM France part of the CETECOM group leader in Mobile area testing. Since June 2001, Head of the young ETSI Interoperability Service also called Plugtests where he has organised more than 20 interoperability events in a broad range of different areas, including IPv6.
