Mattias Lignell Mattias Lignell has been working for the Telia group since 1985 in the tele- and datacom sector.

At 1990 as a head project manager for OSS application development and a few years later with OSS architecture design.

He started working on VoIP in 1995, that later resulted in a separate subsidiary (Telia Light) within the Telia group that was solely focused on VoIP applications.

During the period of 1995 to 2001 he was working at Skanova Networks S–Lab group as a technology advisor to the management. In 1999 he initiated the establishment of SIP based VoIP access to all employees (about 27.000) in the Telia group, and is still in operation.

He has been involved in research on WLAN implementations applied on ad-hoc networks between cars, and applied as an infrastructure in cities.

In 2001 he toke the initiative within Skanova Networks of building Europe’s first commercial IPv6 network.
