René Serral-Gracià (rserral@ac.upc.edu) is a PhD student and professor assistant in the Computer's Architecture Department at the "Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya" (UPC). There he received the engineering degree in Information Tecnologies (2003). His main research topics are QoS management and provision, traffic engineering, IP traffic analysis and characterization. Currently is the maintainer and main developer of a Network Metering tool (NetMeter, more information at http://www.ccaba.upc.edu/netmeter), he is also developing research work at Broadband Communication Center (CCABA) where has worked on IST projects like LONG (http://long.ccaba.upc.edu), more recently EuQoS (http://www.euqos.org) and in Spanish research projects like SABA and SAM.
